Located in the heart of Hertford's National Register Historic District, Carolina Moon Books offers
books for both readers and collectors. Though our inventory is primarily used, we also carry a
selection of new titles of local interest -- not merely Hertford, but North Carolina generally.
Our collectable books include first editions, signed copies, scarce titles, and Antiquarian items.
Carolina Moon Books offers a search service for hard-to-find titles, and will fill special orders
for both used and new books that we do not have in stock.
We are open 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 pm on Saturday.
Hours are extended during the Holiday Season.

Hertford is located just off US Highway 17 between Edenton and Elizabeth City. A part of North Carolina's
Inner Banks, it is about an hour and a half from both Tidewater, Virginia and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
The county seat of Perquimans County, Hertford has been designated as one of two Heritage Tourism Communities
in the state of North Carolina and is a Main Street Community.
Perquimans County is home to several other
Historic Districts and is
active in the Greenways and Blueways program.
The late Jim "Catfish" Hunter, Major League Baseball Hall of Fame Pitcher, is a native of Perquimans County.
His grave and a monument on the Courthouse Green both draw baseball fans from around the world.
